1. Have you seen what they're charging for iphone plans?!?!?! It's ridiculous. And on top of the $30 data fee you pay a month, they're making you pay for text messaging. Yup, that's right. You have to pay extra just to text. Never mind the fact that you're using an iphone. You would think that would come standard, but no... AT&T had to find yet another way to rake you over the coals.
2. Their customer service is rude. When the Apple employee informed one of the AT&T representatives that we have waited a long time and just want our phone to work, she countered with "Well, I've been here for ten hours." Yup, super professional.
3. They knew that millions of people would be trying to buy iphones today, yet none of their systems are capable of handling the demand. I want to know what MBA-educated executive decided he'd rather spend money on his bonus then ensuring that their system could handle all the activations today.
4. We waited in line today to buy an iphone at the Apple store for longer than I care to admit. Once we got in the store, it took the AT&T people over 2 hours to get Spencer's phone connected. 2 hours... I don't need to say anything more.
Although AT&T completely SUCKS, our Apple specialist--the dashing Jeff Roth-- was AMAZING and couldn't have been more helpful. Not only did he battle the AT&T folks, he kept us entertained.
All this to say, the moment Apple gets out of their contract with AT&T, we'll be leaving. And I'll be laughing all the way. I'm definitely not in a good mood right now...

From a former AT&T employee,
I COULDN'T AGREE MORE!
When the first generation iPhones came out, we were NOT prepared! And, we had to deal with the fact that they weren't being sold to business customers. We had angry people calling up, uninformed agents calling up, changes being made last minute that no one was informed about...
Ya, that's why I stick with T-Mobile. At least I KNOW it's going to suck!
LOL!
BUT... you're still the best wife ever for standing in line for hours to make your hubby happy!!! :)
and.... AT&T sucks.
