That's right people, I'm going to MEET Tim Gunn tonight!!!!!
Ok, well maybe I won't get to meet him as much as see him, but still!!!
A couple of weekends ago we were walking through Dillard's (kind of like Macy's) to get a wedding shower gift and Spencer pointed and said "Look!" At first I thought he was referencing the bedding on one of the display beds and I was surprised that he liked that particular color combination. But then he pointed to a sign that had a picture of my beloved Tim Gunn and I saw that he was making a guest appearance in a couple of weeks. EXCITEMENT!!!!! So I immediately called and got reservations for me and my lovely friend Katherine. And to my delight, our other lovely friend Kim(who is soon to be my neighbor) is also going to come!!! Yay!!!!
So I realize that there's a good chance that I'll just be seeing some sort of fashion show and they'll give a nod to Tim Gunn, but if I actually get to meet him I'll be so stoked. I am never star struck, but I definitely think this could be the case with him. But what will I say? That I adore him? Not sure he'll get that... probably will think I'm stalkerish. Or do I just ask for a makeover?
Which leads me to my next question. What do I wear?!?!?!?!?!?! I have absolutely no idea. I can't decide if I want to go cute and trendy as to show that I have half an idea about fashion, or do I go kind of frumpy so that he'll have pity on me and decide to give me a makeover? And I'll probably need some sort of sob story as to why I deserve one. Is moving to a new state right after getting married good enough? Yeah, I highly doubt that. Especially since I love Austin and being married is awesome, so I really don't have any complaints. *SIGH* I guess I'll have to come up with something else. I could just tell him that I've "let myself go" since getting married. That's a bit of a stretch, but I don't dress up as much anymore. Partly because I don't have to for work (Austin is even more casual than Seattle), but also because of how hot it gets here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I'll try to take my camera and hopefully I'll be able to get a picture with the man himself. Oh goodness I'm excited!!!!!

Oh fun. I think you should dress to be yourself...
"Don't be afraid to try things on, ladies. Make it work!"
